Summary of position:
Preparing and delivering a full and varied activity program for children aged between 4 and 12. Including sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, paddle boarding and a mix of onshore sports, crafts and games.

Duties and Responsibilities: (this list is not exhaustive)

• Advertise accurate daily programs in advance
• Deliver a Welcome Speech for parents
• Chat to all parents on a daily basis to ensure the club meets their ( and their childrens ) needs
• Create inventive and varied daily activity programs
• Be solely responsible for the health & safety and welfare of all children in your care
• Understand child emergency procedures eg lost child, fire evacuation
• Liaise with senior staff to ensure staff/child ratios are adhered to at all times
• Prepare all resources in advance
• Liaise with beach supervisor re: watersports tuition and use of kit
• Liaise with bar manager re: snack times and childrens evening socials
• Liaise with chef re: childrens menu and any special dietary requirements each week
• Ensure all registration & signing in/out forms are completed and archived
• Read all registration forms and act on any relevant information accordingly eg weak swimmers
• Complete risk assessments for all activities and area of play
• Complete weekly H&S audits
• Complete RYA logbooks and certificates
• Create awards and certificates for all children
• Provide1/2 evening entertainment options including handing out awards on BBQ night
• Clean the club room daily
• Deep clean the club room weekly including all toys and equipment
• Carry out first aid and complete accident forms as required
• Train colleagues in age suitable activities and games
• Deep clean the club room weekly including all toys and equipment

Experience / Qualifications required:
RYA qualified in either sailing or windsurfing, First Aid, NPLQ lifeguard, minimum of 1 seasons experience working with children in an activity environment.
