Seasonal Fitness Instructor

at Ocean Elements in Vassilliki (Greece)

Reporting to:
Activities Manager

Summary of position:
In addition to your watersports Instructor role you will provide one or two fitness classes a day, catering for a range of abilities. You will be responsible for ensuring all classes are professional, safe and fun.

Duties and Responsibilities: (this list is not exhaustive)

  • To provide a mix of aqua classes and stretch &relax/ wind down classes
  • Create safe warm up and cool down practices before and after every class
  • Detail class content to all particiapants prior to the class
  • Gain any relevant medical and health information from all participants prior to the class
  • Create accurate and informative advertisements for classes
  • To ensure all equipment used is stored safely and securely when not in use
  • To carry out regular maintenance checks on all equipment
  • To complete H&S paperwork in a timely fashion, including records of maintenance carried out
  • To prepare all teaching areas prior to classes beginning
  • To complete Risk Assessments for all classes and teaching areas
  • Train colleagues to run classes in your abscence
  • To gain feedback on classes and develop the program accordingly

Experience / Qualifications required:

Watersports Instructor RYA or BCU. An academic award relating to Physical Education. Professional exercise to music award. First Aid.
