Seasonal Head Nanny

at Alpine Elements in French Alps

Working as a head nanny you will be responsible for the smooth running of the childcare (care of children from 6 months – 11 years) provided within your resort and co-ordinate a small team of nannies as well as Nanning for families of your own.
With the assistance of the Childcare Manager you need to ensure your team of nannies are providing the best possible service guaranteeing both parents and children are having a fun filled and stress-free holiday. As a head nanny you will need to have an excellent understanding of the dynamics of childcare and have experience in team leading/ management roles.

You must have good organisation skills, self-motivation and have the confidence to take charge of sensitive and difficult situations that arise. You must be able to maintain both professional and personal relationships with your childcare team and resort as a whole. You will need to lead your team by example, by displaying lots of energy, enthusiasm and creativity to create an excellent childcare programme.

A love of children and enjoying the opportunity to care for different children each week is essential.

Your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
• Ensuring safe environments within any Kids Club/Chalet spaces where childcare is held
• Ensuring the company policies and procedures are followed and all health and safety, food hygiene standards are met
• Reporting to the Childcare Manager any important issues and keeping a good record of the day to day running of the resort childcare including all administration.
• Leading and organising your team of nannies including providing rotas, team meetings, weekly activity planning, guest welcome speeches and report writing.

Requirements
 Qualified to NNEB, CACHE/NVQ 3 or equivalent
 At least 2 years experience in childcare settings
 Some experience within a supervisory or management role
 A good understanding of professional childcare standards
 Prior experience and knowledge of childcare settings within a ski resort would be advantageous

Also as chalet staff and resort wages are inclusive of accommodation and sometime food you will need to pay for your own accommodation which can be very expensive
