Seasonal Qualified Nanny

at Alpine Elements in French Alps

Working as a nanny in a ski resort is the only job where snowman building, sledging and making snow angles is part of the criteria.

Working as a qualified nanny you will be mainly looking after our smallest holiday makers from 6months to 4 years with other times helping out with our Kids Clubs. Enthusiasm, organisation, common sense and a fun approach to your working week is essential. You will need to have a love of children and enjoy working with different children each week.

When working with our powder babies (6months – 4 years) you will work independently within the guests’ chalet providing excellent childcare both inside the chalet and trips out around the resort.

Our Kids Clubs, powder pups and powder hounds are for children 4 – 11 years. You will assist children at their ski lessons, provide lunch and carry out fun filled snow based activities in the afternoons. Your main objective is to make sure both parents and children have a fun filled and stress-free holiday.

Your main responsibilities will be, but not limited to;
• Working as part of a childcare team to provide excellent childcare including some evening babysitting
• Maintain a safe, stimulating and activity packed environment
• Keeping efficient and accurate records of children in your care including following individual child routines.
• Being confident in liaising with parents, giving welcome speeches and providing feedback on a daily basis.
• Being ready to use initiative and ‘stepping in’ when necessary to all parts of the resort team and company.

Requirements
 Qualified to NNEB, CACHE/NVQ 3 or equivalent
 At least 6 months experience working with children aged 6 months - 4 years
 Being able to ski is not a requirement but a desire to learn will ensure you make the most of your time living in a ski resort.
